Alex Tieghi-Walker, Editor-in-Chief (London)
Visual-journalisto Alejandro (left) is 25. Raised in Wales until his family decamped to live near Venice, Italy, he drove up the coast of California aged 18 and and spent long stints living and writing in New York and Buenos Aires. he finally came home and now lives in a beautiful tall house behind Oval station breeding cacti, drawing architectural blueprints and writing about good design for publications such as Wallpaper*.
Jolyon Varley, Marketing Director (London)
Like most Hackney residents, Jolyon hails from Hampshire. He is the Big Bad Business Director of the creative agency NEVERBLAND, and a diamond-tongued copywriter. He loves fine wine but loathes fine print, laughs maniacally in cold showers and is the 84th paid up member of the National Bookmark Society.
Rosa Rankin-Gee, Editor-in-Chief (Paris)
Rosa lives in the 18e arrondissement, in an appartment with a bath in the kitchen. Her novella ‘The Last Kings of Sark’ just won Shakespeare & Company’s international Paris Literary Prize. One of Esquire Magazine’s 75 Brilliant Brits of 2010, Rosa also founded Alight Here and the Fun and Beautiful Journal. She makes sandwiches out of things you don’t normally make sandwiches from, and likes simple adjectives, such as good and bad and fast.
Jethro Turner, Creative Director (Paris)
Jethro also lives in the 18e. Round the corner from Rosa, actually. Neeeeighbours. His day job is with e-books, which makes him the enemy. But he also writes about food, and about not-food. Like most moralists he is secretly quite sadistic. He takes photos of interesting people and interesting doorframes.
Isabel Parkes, Editor-in-Chief (Berlin)
Born in London but reared among cowboys in Southern California, Isabel headed east from the Pacific at the age of 18 and kept going. After studying German, Spanish and art theory in Providence, Rhode Island, her babble brought her to Berlin. She works as a concept developer in Kreuzberg, and a tour guide at the Hoffmann Collection. Isabel enjoys fresh greens, Talking Heads and denim.
